‘Mini-Six Nations’ before World Cup

Ireland, England and Wales have announced their World Cup warm-up fixtures for next year.

England will play one of their five matches at St James’ Park in Newcastle for the first time when they host Italy on 6 September to round off their preparations. It will also be the first time since the 2015 World Cup that the national team will play a home match outside of Twickenham.

The warm-up fixtures will form as a mini Six-Nations with England, Ireland and Wales all playing home and away fixtures between each other.

Ireland fixtures:

– Ireland vs Italy, Aviva Stadium, 10 August
– England vs Ireland, Twickenham, 24 August
– Wales vs Ireland, Millennium Stadium, 31 August
– Ireland vs Wales, Aviva Stadium, 7 September

Wales fixtures:

– England vs Wales, Twickenham, 11 August
– Wales vs England, Millennium Stadium, 17 August
– Wales vs Ireland, Millennium Stadium,31 August
– Ireland vs Wales, Aviva Stadium, 7 September

England fixtures:

– England vs Wales, Twickenham, 11 August
– Wales vs England, Principality Stadium, 17 August
– England vs Ireland, Twickenham, 24 August
– England vs Italy, St James Park, 6 September
