Heyneke Meyer’s Stade Français have the biggest player budget in the French Top 14 this season.
The Paris-based club has a budget of €34-million (R565-million), up from €30.16-million last season (which saw them ranked third).
Clermont, who had last season’s biggest budget of €31.55-million, dropped to third on the list this season despite their budget increasing to €32.5-million.
The lowest-ranked club, Agen, still have €13.8-million (R229-million) to play with.
