Wing George North may miss Wales’ Six Nations opener against Scotland after sustaining a knee injury in the English Premiership last weekend.
The injury will likely require four weeks of rehabilitation, putting North in doubt for the match against Scotland on 3 February.
North joins a host of experienced Welsh internationals on the injury list. Wales are without Dan Lydiate, who suffered a bicep injury while playing for the Ospreys, while regular captain Sam Warburton is also on the sidelines.
Taulupe Faletau is still recovering from a knee injury sustained while playing for Bath, while Ross Moriarty and Jonathan Davies are long-term absentees.
