Jake White will be replaced by Scotland's Vern Cotter as coach of French club Montpellier.
Cotter is set take over at the end of the season after signing a three-year deal to replace the former World Cup-winning Bok coach.
White has overseen an impressive turnaround in fortunes at Montpellier since joining from the Sharks at the end of 2014, with the French side having clinched the Challenge Cup last season. Montpellier currently lie third on the Top 14 table after winning four games out of six.
It has not been confirmed where White may next look to coach, but a return to South Africa could be on the cards.
However, this week Bok coach Allister Coetzee confirmed that they were not looking to bring in any outside consultants to assist the management team at this stage.
