Malcolm Marx could be set to feature on the Boks' bench for this Saturday's Test against the All Blacks in Christchurch.
Marx was included in the Springbok Rugby Championship squad after a stellar Super Rugby season for the Lions, but has yet to earn inclusion in the match 23 after the first three rounds of action.
However, according to IOL Sport, Marx appears in line to be named as a replacement for this weekend's Test, with Bongi Mbonambi then likely to fall out of the playing squad.
Recalled Willem Alberts is also expected to take up a spot on the bench, while in an enforced change to the starting lineup, Pieter-Steph du Toit will replace injured Lood de Jager.
Faf de Klerk, Johan Goosen and Eben Etzebeth are all set to take up their places in the starting lineup after overcoming injury niggles.
