Faf, Goosen fit to play

Allister Coetzee has confirmed that Faf de Klerk and Johan Goosen have recovered sufficiently from their respective injuries.

The backline duo travelled with the squad to Christchurch despite being under an injury cloud, with De Klerk having sustained a knock to the chest, while Goosen picked up an ankle niggle in the Springboks' 23-17 loss to the Wallabies in Brisbane.

'They are both good to go for our training this week,' Coetzee said on Monday. 'As a group, we know where we have to improve and that's where the focus is at this moment.'

Eighthman Warren Whiteley echoed his coach's sentiments, saying the team has to cut out the errors which have hampered their chances of winning against Argentina and Australia at the start of the Rugby Championship.

'There is a lot of work that's been done to help us reduce the errors, and we realise we have to do that when you play against the in-form side in the world at the moment.

'We are keen to address the finer details and to play much better as a team and we will work hard this week to prepare for the weekend's huge challenge.'
