Quade Cooper will make his return from injury off the bench for Brisbane City against Queensland Country in Australia's National Rugby Championship on Sunday.
The flyhalf has recovered from hip and shoulder surgeries and is hoping to put himself in contention for the Wallabies' match against the All Blacks in Brisbane on 18 October.
'The medical staff say everything is right. Now mentally I have to go out there and make sure I am confident,' Cooper told the Brisbane Times.
'The goal of mine – and for any person playing rugby for Australia – is to represent Australia and play for the Wallabies. I'm no different. But the pathway is to come back for Brisbane City and play some good football and hopefully be in contention. My first goal is contributing to this team as best as I can.'
