The Pumas have appointed Brent Janse van Rensburg as head coach until the end of the 2019 season.
Janse van Rensburg resigned from his post as Boland coach last week, but didn't give a reason for his departure.
The Mpumalanga Rugby Union, however, confirmed Janse van Rensburg signed a three-year deal with the Pumas. He will be assisted by MJ Mentz and Hein Kriek.
Janse van Rensburg, a nominee for the 2016 SA Rugby Coach of the Year Award, says he is thankful for the opportunity.
'The Pumas have had good success in the past and are very competitive, while the structures and facilities at the union are first class. I look forward to the challenge and working to move the side forward,' he said.
