Kotze moves to Bulls

Stormers back Johnny Kotze will join the Bulls on a two-year deal after this season's Currie Cup.

The 23-year-old Kotze, who has represented WP in the Currie Cup since 2014 and made his Super Rugby debut for the Stormers in 2015, will be contracted to the Bulls until the end of October 2018.

Despite the announcement of the move, Kotze will still be eligible to play for WP in their Currie Cup semi-final against the Bulls at Loftus next weekend.

'We are really lucky to get an exciting and experienced player like Johnny Kotze into the squad, as it will no doubt extend our depth in the midfield. He brings some versatility and unpredictability to the party,' said Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg.

Janse van Rensburg also confirmed that the Bulls' highly rated lock pairing RG Snyman and Jannes Kirsten both signed contract extensions until 2018 and 2019 respectively, while tighthead prop Martin Dreyer agreed to stay at the union until the end of the 2017 Super Rugby season.

'It is also great to have RG and Jannes staying on. They are clearly destined for greater things and it is great to know that they will keep on showing their immense talents in our squad,' Janse van Rensburg added.

In addition, the Bulls have secured the services of juniors Divan Rossouw, Franco Naude and Jan-Henning Campher beyond the 2018 season.
