How South Africa's Sunday newspapers reacted to the Springboks' 27-25 win against the All Blacks at Ellis Park.

'Heil, Kiwi-temmers [Salvation, Kiwi tamers]' screamed the back page of Afrikaans newspaper Rapport, who also had a photo of Francois Hougaard's try on the front page.

The Sunday Times went with a photo of Pat Lambie's 'wonder kick' in the 79th minute of the match that snatched victory for the Boks on the back page, with one of a celebrating Hougaard on the front.

'It was a passionate display by the Springboks who were desperate to deliver a first win for Heyneke Meyer over the old foe,' wrote Liam De Carme, who also praised flyhalf Handré Pollard.

'Pollard delivered a performance that bore hallmarks of Naas Botha, Henry Honiball and perhaps even a bit of Hennie le Roux in their pomp. What Pollard gives the Boks, and what his more immediate predecessors can't, is the sheer force to prise open defences. Maybe not the first time, but he keeps coming.'

Meanwhile, the Weekend Argus went with the headline 'Boks finally down All Blacks' and a photo of Pollard's first try on the back page, with one of Beast Mtawarira on the front.

The Sunday Independent, Sunday Tribune and City Press also gave the Boks plenty of coverage.
