England have named Courtney Lawes in their 34-man squad ahead of their Test against the Springboks at Twickenham on Saturday.

Lawes looked set to miss the Bok match after sustaining a knee injury playing for the Northampton Saints a fortnight ago. But despite not being able to train fully since the injury, the 26-year-old made coach Eddie Jones's provisional squad.

If Lawes is cleared to play in what will be his 50th Test, he will make a welcome return to the England fold after fellow locks George Kruis and Maro Itoje have both been ruled out with injury.
