The Sharks have bolstered their second-row ranks with the recruitment of Stormers lock Ruan Botha and Namibia's Tjiuee Uanivi.
With Bok lock Pieter-Steph du Toit having signed with the Stormers earlier this year, the Sharks needed to add to their lock stocks ahead of the 2016 Vodacom Super Rugby season.
Botha will add to their options along with Uanivi, who represented Namibia at the World Cup, while Pumas lock Lubabalo ‘Giant’ Mtayanda has also linked up with the team again.
Talented young lock Stephan Lewies is believed to be ahead of schedule as he continues his injury recovery, and could be available for the Sharks’ Super Rugby opener against the Kings on 27 February.
