Lionel Mapoe will replace the injured Lukhanyo Am in the Springbok squad for the Test series against France in June.
The Sharks centre sustained a cheekbone fracture on Saturday against the Stormers and will undergo surgery in the coming week.
Mapoe has been drafted in from the South Africa A squad that will face the French Barbarians in a two-match series.

Mapoe has earned 11 Bok caps since making his debut on 25 July 2015 against the All Blacks in Johannesburg. He has played eight Tests in midfield and three times on the wing.
The Bok squad will assemble on Monday in Plettenberg Bay, to continue with preparations for the series against France.
