The Junior Boks have made seven changes to their starting lineup for their warm-up match against a Maties U20 Invitational side in Stellenbosch on Tuesday.
Utility back Manie Libbok moves from flyhalf to fullback, with former SA Schools flyhalf Curwin Bosch earning a start at pivot.
Centre JT Jackson and scrumhalf Marco Jansen van Vuren, who are the only survivors of last year’s World Rugby U20 Championship squad, will start ahead of Franco Naudé and Embrose Papier against the Maties side, with Naudé and Papier shifting to the bench.
Coach Dawie Theron has named a new front row with props Franco van den Berg and Jaco Holtzhausen and hooker Tango Balekile starting ahead of props Kwenzo Blose and Nicolaas Oosthuizen and hooker JH Campher. Blose and Oosthuizen shift to the bench, while Campher misses out on a place in the match 23 with Carlü Sadie being named as replacement hooker.
Cobus Wiese pairs up with Eduard Zandberg at lock ahead of Ruben de Villiers, who along with lock Eli Snyman are recovering from injury.
Locks Eli Snyman and Ruben de Villiers were also not available for selection as they are recovering from injuries, while scrumhalf James Hall is on Super Rugby duty for the Kings.
The match kicks off at 18:30 at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch.
