Loose forwards CJ Velleman and Chris Cloete have been ruled out of action for lengthy spells in a considerable double blow for the Kings.
Velleman has broken his thumb and will be sidelined for at least six weeks, while Cloete will miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury late in the game against the Blues.
Stefan Watermeyer is also being monitored after pulling a tendon in his foot, and could also be ruled out of this Saturday's game against the Cheetahs.
