Junior Boks thrash Argentina

Published on May 2, 2014 | Leave a response

The Junior Springboks began their preparations for the IRB Junior World Championship by beating Argentina 78-31 in Saldanha Bay on Friday.

Dawie Theron's team ran in six tries in each half to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Having lead 31-0 after 19 minutes, Theron was unhappy with his team's lapses in concentration that allowed the Argentinians to get back into the game.

'Overall, the result was very satisfying, but it's very early days and we will work hard during our two training sessions on Sunday,' he said following the game.

The next match will be held in Stellenbosch on Tuesday, before the series concludes in Cape Town next Saturday.
