Wilhelm van der Sluys will join the Kings on a short-term deal from the Worcester Warriors.
The 25-year-old comes in as second-row cover while Kings locks Mwanele Zito, Irne Herbst, Cameron Lindsay, Sintu Manjezi and Wandile Putuma are sidelined through injury.
Van der Sluys was part of the Western Province setup before joining the Worcester Warriors in November last year. A lack of game time at the English club has seen him loaned out to the Rotherham Titans and London Scottish before his latest stint at Kings commenced.
'We are happy to have Wilhelm van der Sluys joining us this season,' Kings coach Deon Davids said. 'We are confident that he will contribute positively to the team and further beef up our good calibre of locks that we already have in the team. Wilhelm will adjust quickly and easily to our systems, and we look forward to seeing him in action in Kings colours.'
