Paul Treu has been cleared by World Rugby after an investigation into allegations that Kenyan players were doping while he was coach of their sevens side.
The allegations, which suggested Treu promoted the use of illegal supplements among his players, originated from Kenya's head of the task force on anti-doping, professor Moni Wekesa.
World Rugby commissioned an investigation, with the full support of the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada), and found that there was no evidence of any wrongdoing by Treu.
'I have consistently said the claims were false, without any basis and farfetched and it is great to see this finally vindicated by World Rugby,' Treu told SuperSport.com. 'Allegations like this should never be taken lightly as they have the potential to do unmeasurable harm to both the sport and the individuals involved.'
Treu is currently the defence coach for the Stormers, and added that he would continue to consider his legal rights in response to the allegations.
