England climb rankings

England have moved to fifth in the World Rugby rankings following their 25-21 victory over Wales at Twickenham.

England have been in good form since Eddie Jones took over as coach, clinching the 2016 Six Nations title and the Triple Crown with one round of games still to play.

Their undefeated streak has seen England's rankings points total increase from 81.62 to 83.06, promoting them above Argentina who drop to sixth place.

Despite the loss which effectively ended their title hopes, Wales are still the highest ranked northern hemisphere team in fourth position with 83.10 rankings points, but their lead over England has been cut to just 0.04 of a point.

Ireland rose one spot higher to seventh position after their 58-15 drubbing of Italy, while France's first defeat against Scotland in 10 years sees them demoted to eighth place.
