Michael Cheika's future as Wallabies coach is in doubt as contract negotiations with the Australian Rugby Union have stalled.
According to ESPNscrum, Cheika would be willing to resign if the issue is not resolved by the end of next week, with the former Waratahs coach apparently unimpressed with the delays in finalising a new deal that was set to see him lead the Wallabies until the 2019 World Cup.
Cheika, who is contracted to the ARU until the end of 2017, is said to be intent on receiving a concrete four-year deal after guiding Australia to last year's World Cup final and the Rugby Championship title.
