Sanzar has lodged an appeal against the not guilty verdict of Sharks centre Frans Steyn.
Steyn was red-carded for a dangerous tackle on Chiefs flyhalf Aaron Cruden at Kings Park last Saturday.
At a judiciary hearing on Monday, Sanzar judicial officer Jannie Lubbe found Steyn not guilty of foul play, and the red card was expunged from the player's record.
On Wednesday, however, Sanzar confirmed that the initial ruling will be challenged.
An appeals committee, chaired by Terry Willis, with Nigel Hampton and Robert Stelzner as members, will hear the appeal via a video conference next week.
Steyn is therefore available to play against the Force on Saturday.
