The oldest club in the country, Hamiltons, beat Sishen 48-9 on debut in the Community Cup in Cape Town.
The hosts, who boasted some provincial experience in their match-day squad, ran in four tries in a dominant display of running rugby in Green Point.
Johannes Giliomee scored the first of his two tries through a driving maul early in the first half. Pieter Stefan de Villiers and Terry Jacobs also crossed the line for Hamiltons, while flyhalf Shane Vallender slotted three conversions and a penalty.
Sishen could manage only three penalties from the boot of fullback Andries Bloem.
