The Force have released Sias Ebersohn two years before his contract with the franchise expires.
Ebersohn, who played 43 matches for the Perth-based side over the past three seasons, signed a three-year contract extension in November last year, which would have kept him at the club until the end of 2017.
But the 26-year-old has fallen out of favour following an indifferent showing throughout the 2015 Vodacom Super Rugby season, with management deciding to terminate his contract, citing the need to add more experienced players to their young backline.
'On behalf of the club, we’d like to thank Sias for his contribution to the Force, and wish he and wife Elette all the best for the future,' read a statement on the club's website.
The Force have already secured the services of Waratahs and former Reds utility back Jono Lance, with the promise of more signings before the 2016 next season.
