Curwin Bosch will start at flyhalf for the Junior Boks in their World Rugby U20 Championship match against Argentina in Manchester on Saturday.
Coach Dawie Theron has made four changes and one positional switch to the team that beat Japan 59-19 on Tuesday.
In the backline, Bosch and Manie Libbok swap places, with the former shifting to flyhalf and the latter to fullback, while Franco Naude replaces JT Jackson at inside centre.
In the pack, props Franco van den Berg and Carlü Sadie come into the starting XV ahead of Kwenzo Blose and Jaco Holtzhausen respectively and Eduard Zandberg gets the nod at No 4 lock with Cobus Wiese dropping to the reserves.
Scrumhalf Marco Jansen van Vuren and wing Edwill van der Merwe come on to the bench.
'We are expecting wet weather for this clash, so we decided to beef up our pack,' said Theron. 'We brought in Curwin at flyhalf because he is the best tactical kicker in the group at this point, and in wet conditions the tactical kicking has to be good.
'Argentina are a disruptive team by nature as we have seen over the past few years and also in their opening match against France. They are particularly tenacious on the ground and they like to get in behind teams and offload, so we have to be ready for the challenge.'
