Fourie available for Boks

Allister Coetzee has confirmed that centre Jaque Fourie will be available for the coming World Cup, while lock Andries Bekker will not.

The Stormers coach addressed the Cape media on Wednesday for the final time before his move to Japanese club Kobelco Steelers. Fourie and Bekker are currently contracted to the Steelers, and so Coetzee was able to provide some clarity on the pair's availability.

Fourie announced his retirement from international rugby last November, but has reconsidered this decision after talks with Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer. According to Coetzee, Fourie will make himself available for Bok selection this year.

Unfortunately for the Boks, they won't have access to Bekker, as the lock has not been released by his Japanese club.
