Charlie Ngatai will start at inside centre for the Chiefs against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday.
Ngatai has recovered from an ankle injury that ruled him out of the Chiefs' 17-11 Super Rugby quarter-final win against the Stormers last Saturday. He replaces Stephen Donald, who moves to the bench.
In the other change to the starting XV, Tim Nanai-Williams comes in for Solomon Alaimalo on the right wing.
