Oupa Mohoje will captain the Cheetahs against the Bulls in Bloemfontein on Saturday after Francois Venter was ruled out.
Venter suffered a concussion in last week's match against the Sharks and has been replaced by William Small-Smith at outside centre.
The two other changes to the starting XV see Armandt Koster and Charles Marais replace Carl Wegner and Ox Nche at lock and loosehead prop respectively. In a positional shift in the back row, Paul Schoeman starts at No 8 and Uzair Cassiem moves to blindside flank.
Ryno Benjamin returns from injury to take Small-Smith's spot on the bench.
