Pat Lambie is looking unlikely to make his return to action in the Sharks' clash with the Sunwolves this Friday.
Lambie has been laid low ever since suffering a serious concussion in the Springboks' first Test against Ireland on 11 June, which forced him to miss the rest of the series, while also ruling him out of the Sharks' last two Super Rugby games.
Lambie has undergone another another set of cognitive tests this week, and while there are believed to be some improvements, there are also still some minor lingering symptoms.
Garth April, who produced an up-and-down performance against the Cheetahs on Saturday, is set to continue at flyhalf for the Sharks' final conference clash in Durban.
