Injured Lions No 8 Warren Whiteley will start running again this week.

The Lions on Monday said Whiteley has responded well to treatment for the shoulder injury he sustained in the Springboks' third Test against Ireland in Port Elizabeth, but it remains unclear when he’ll be available to play again. 

There are no other injury concerns for the Lions ahead of their crucial match against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

The Lions are currently a point ahead of the Chiefs on the 18-team log, which is used for playoff seeding purposes, and a bonus-point win would see them hosting a quarter-final, as well as a semi-final and final if they progress that far.
