The Stormers dominated the scrums and lineouts against the Rebels in Melbourne, according to SARugbymag.za's Opta-powered statistics.
The visitors' scrum won four tightheads during the first half of the match, while their jumpers were able to steal three of the Rebels' lineouts.
In the second half, the Stormers scored a crucial try when Eben Etzebeth stole his third Rebels lineout and was driven over the whitewash, and it was another strong scrum that resulted in Nic Groom's try.
However, while the Stormers' tight five fired, their flankers were disappointing with ball in hand. Nizaam Carr made just 11m from five carries and Siya Kolisi just 6m from two. Schalk Burger, who started at No 8, made 47m from 11 carries.
