The most complete Test fullback and the form player in Super Rugby will have game-shaping roles to play in this Saturday's final, writes JON CARDINELLI.

In recent years, Israel Dagg has emulated Ma'a Nonu. While his Super Rugby form has been erratic, his contributions to the All Blacks' cause have been nothing short of outstanding.

That said, the Crusaders will be pleased to see Dagg finding some form in the latter stages of the 2014 Super Rugby competition. The Crusaders are firing as a unit, and Dagg is an important cog in that formidable machine.

His attacking abilities are well-documented, although in a tightly contested final, it could be Dagg's line-kicking game that makes all the difference.

For an out-and-out attacking threat, Israel Folau has had no peer in 2014.

A formidable specimen at 1.93m and 102kg, Folau's power and athleticism has allowed him to break the first tackle more often than not. He has scored more tries than any other player this season (12). 

The Waratahs can't afford to kick poorly this weekend, because Dagg will punish their inaccuracies. Similarly, the Crusaders defence will need to keep Folau in check in the wider channels.
