The Money Man will donate his recent winnings of R30,250 to five-year-old Junaid Arendse's specialist cancer treatment.
SARugbymag.co.za's betting guru was given R5,000 at the beginning of the Vodacom Super Rugby season by SARugbymag.co.za and increased it six-fold by betting on selected matches.
A cheque for R30,250 will be presented to Junaid and his family by former Springbok fullback Percy Montgomery at Highbury Safika Media's offices on Wednesday.
Junaid has stage four neuroblastoma, a type of cancer created from immature nerve cells, which can originate anywhere in the body.
The cancer was diagnosed in May last year, and while he underwent 16 sessions of chemotherapy at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, the treatment he received was no longer sufficient.
The Money Man's donation will go towards Junaid's topotecan treatment, an expensive medication not available at any local public hospital.
