Brumbies flank Scott Fardy says the team have their sights set on the winning the revamped Super Rugby tournament in 2016.
Fardy will be looking to build on his 2015 successes as he returns to the Brumbies for his fifth season in Canberra. The flanker had an immense year for both the Brumbies and the Wallabies, featuring as one of the standouts for the national side at the World Cup in England. He was also part of the Wallabies squad that won the Rugby Championship.
Fardy, returning to Brumbies training after a well-deserved break post-World Cup, said the team is raring to go.
‘I don’t think the goal changes from year to year, we’re always here to win the competition,’ Fardy said. ‘We’re disappointed we’ve fallen at the final hurdle the last few years, but obviously we take a lot of confidence in the fact we believe our best footy is ahead of us and we’re looking forward to a big year.’
