Harlequins' match against Leicester in the Anglo-Welsh Cup was called off 10 minutes from time when high winds threatened to bring down scaffolding.

Quins, third in Pool C, were ahead of the Pool B leaders by 20-6 at the time. With high winds, rain, hail and lightning lashing The Stoop where advertising hoardings and assorted debris were blowing on to the pitch, the referee ordered the players to the dressing room.

Northampton had to wait 20 minutes for a storm to pass before they could begin their 34-16 victory over the Newport Gwent Dragons. Former Bulls back row Gerrit-Jan van Veltz was given a rare start and celebrated with a try.

In calmer conditions, former Stormers flanker Don Armand was Exeter's player of the day for his tireless work, which was rewarded with a try at the death in a 36-22 win over the Ospreys. They trailed 10-8 at half-time but opened up with four tries after the break.

Bath secured their place in the semi-finals with a bonus-point win over the Cardiff Blues.
