Johan Goosen will start at flyhalf for the Cheetahs in their pre-season match against the EP Kings in PE on Saturday.
Goosen, who did not take part in last Friday's matches against Shimlas and Griquas in Bloemfontein, comes in for Elgar Watts.
Hennie Daniller has replaced Willie le Roux at fullback, as the Bok is being rested for the warm-up games in PE this week.
The Cheetahs B team play NMMU on Tuesday.
