Brazil kicked a late penalty to beat the USA Eagles 24-23 in their Americas Rugby Championship match in Sao Paulo.
The understrength USA team, coached by John Mitchell, trailed 18-8 at half-time on Saturday, before fighting their way back to lead 23-21 with seven minutes to go.
But the Eagles conceded a late penalty, which flyhalf Moises Duque slotted for a famous win.
'First of all let me thank the supporters who came here,' said Duque, who scored 14 of Brazil’s 24 points. 'It was really beautiful. More importantly let me thank all the staff who have made this possible for Brazil. Now our work is going to start appearing and be careful to take note of Brazil, Brazil is arriving.'
