The memorial service of former Bulls and Springbok scrumhalf Joost van der Westhuizen will be held at Loftus Versfeld on Friday.
It will start at 12:30 and be broadcast live on SuperSport 1.
Following a private ceremony for the close family and loved ones earlier on Friday morning, Van der Westhuizen’s casket will be escorted to Loftus Versfeld. The gates to the stadium will be opened to the public who wish to attend the ceremony to pay their respects to the legend.
The ceremony will include a host of guest speakers and dignitaries and will also feature tributes by a selection of Joost’s favorite artists.

Guests are urged to arrive at the stadium early from 10:30 in order to ensure a smooth and dignified ceremony.
Parking will be available at:
• Pretoria Technical High School with access via Wessels Street (A shuttle service from school to stadium will be available)
• Pretoria Girls High School with access via Park Street
• Pretoria East NG Church with access via Lynnwood Road
