Jean de Villiers has been named on the bench for the Leicester Tigers' match against Harlequins on Friday.
De Villiers broke his jaw against Samoa in the Boks' second World Cup game last year. He joined the Tigers on a six-month deal in October, but has been sidelined until now.
'I've totally forgotten about the injury now. The bone broke both sides and it just needed time to heal,' De Villiers said.
The former Bok captain says he has no regrets about joining the Premiership club.
'It has been a fantastic decision. The players and management have been so good at making me feel at home and I'm working with good rugby players and good people.'
