Springbok scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar could be set to return to the Cheetahs team to face the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.
Pienaar has been on the sidelines since the second round of Super Rugby Unlocked last year, when he injured his knee against the Vodacom Bulls.

The 36-year-old is back in full training and in contention to be selected for this weekend’s match, which forms part of the preparation series.
However, if selected to start, Pienaar may opt not to take any shots at goal and shift the goal-kicking responsibility to centre Frans Steyn.
Speaking to OFM Sport, Pienaar expressed his excitement at being able to get back on to the field.
‘Personally, I am obviously very excited to get back playing again and just being involved. It makes me very excited,’ he said.
‘It will be a very tough one down in Cape Town. It’s a really good Stormers team and I think that they would like to play well at their new home ground. I’m just excited and looking forward to getting back on the pitch.’
Cheetahs head coach Hawies Fourie will name the starting lineup for Saturday’s clash on Thursday at 10am.
