Veteran flyhalf Morne Steyn says the Vodacom Bulls have done a great job to secure the services of Fourie du Preez as a part-time coaching consultant.
Recently, Du Preez has agreed to assist his former team on an informal basis, with the legendary former Springbok specifically working closely with the scrumhalves at the Bulls.
‘I think it would be stupid of South Africa and the Bulls not to use him,’ Steyn commented at a Vodacom Fun mini-kicking clinic at Loftus.
‘The Bulls are doing a great job now in pulling him in a little bit. But, yeah, it would be stupid not to use him.
‘Would you just let a guy like him go? The Bulls did a great job to get him … I think he’s been coming once a week for three weeks now,’ Steyn added.
‘It’s gonna be a good thing for the nines to learn. You always want to learn from the best and Fourie is a great example.
‘I played with him and he was definitely one of the best scrumhalves in the world. For our nines to just be able to learn from him, is going to be good.’
