Wales stay sixth despite famous win

England and Wales have improved their rating points after beating the Wallabies and Boks respectively, but not their rankings.

England's 26-17 victory at Twickenham earned them a 0.64 of a point increase from 84.21 to 84.85 ranking points, ensuring they end the calender year in fourth above Australia.

Michael Cheika's men remain fifth, but their points tally decreased from 83.59 to 82.95.

Sixth-ranked Wales avoided a positional switch with France after they banked a 1.7 points increase from 79.94 to 81.64, courtesy of their six-point win in Cardiff.

The Boks' second place on the list was never under threat, but they did lose ground on the top-ranked All Blacks, as their rating points dropped from 89.93 to 88.23.
