Hat-trick hero Rosko Specman was the best player on show in the sixth round of the Vodacom Super Rugby tournament, writes JON CARDINELLI.
The Vodacom Bulls produced a superb second-half performance to beat the Highlanders 38-13 and end their 2020 win-drought. While the forwards laid a formidable platform and the inside backs took some excellent options during this period, credit must got to the No 11 for dotting down three times.

Specman worked hard over the course of the game. In the 56th minute, his first opportunity to strike eventually arrived. The Bulls rumbled toward the line and Specman, serving as a de facto scrumhalf, picked up the ball at the ensuing ruck and dove over the line.

On the hour, the wing showed his pace to finish an attacking movement sparked by Warrick Gelant – who also had an excellent game for the Bulls. He crossed the line for a third time in the 72nd minute when he took a brilliant cut-out pass by replacement flyhalf Morné Steyn.
That’s right: it took Specman less than 17 minutes to score a hat-trick in the second half of the game on Saturday.
The Bulls – who have not enjoyed a great deal of attacking success this season – will be looking to the Blitzboks dynamo to fire again in the coming clash against Reds.
